At Eleni's we understand the importance of giving back, particularly to the community who has helped us build our brand through the years. Eleni's New York is proud of our commitment to work with the following organizations in 2013:
New York Historical Society:
The New York Historical Society, one of America's pre-eminent cultural institutions, is dedicated to fostering research, presenting history and art exhibitions, and public programs that reveal the dynamism of history and its influence on the world of today. New-York Historical has a mission to explore the richly layered political, cultural and social history of New York City and State and the nation, and to serve as a national forum for the discussion of issues surrounding the making and meaning of history. For more information on the New-York Historical Society please visit: http://www.nyhistory.org/
City Parks Foundation:
City Parks Foundation works in over 750 parks across the city, presenting a broad range of free arts, sports, and education programs, and empowering citizens to support their local parks. CPF's programs and community building initiatives reach more than 600,000 people each year in neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs, making New York City a healthier and more vibrant place to live. As a board member of City Parks, Eleni has a strong passion for City Parks and works closely with the organization year round. Breast Cancer Research Foundation:
The mission of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation is to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing critical funding for innovative clinical and translational research at leasing medical centers worldwide, and increasing public awareness about good breast health. Currently, over 90 cents of every dollar donated goes to breast cancer research and awareness programs. Eleni's is proud to offer our annual Think Pink cookies and cupcakes this year, of which a portion of the proceeds goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
